People of diverse faiths condemn Bangladesh violence - In an expression
of common concern, community leaders of Indian, Bangladeshi and Caribbean
origin in New York drew attention to what was described as “ethnic cleansing
of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh,” at a pre-Christmas seminar at
Satyanarayan Temple in Queens, New York.

Protest held
in Laxmeshwar (Atrocities on Bangladeshi Hindus) -- A procession
was held here on Wednesday (by VHP) in protest against the harassment of
Hindus in Bangladesh. The procession started from the Someshwar temple and
passed through all the main roads of the town and ended in front of the town
hall.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on
Wednesday turned down the VHP demand that the Centre set up special refugee
camps at the border for Hindu migrants fleeing Bangladesh .The government
was not in favour of making elaborate arrangements to receive the migrants
as this could trigger off an exodus from the neighbouring country, he is
said to have told VHP supremo Ashok Singhal and other leaders who met him to
express concern on the issue.

the future does not look all that bright for us...The image which comes up
